Who we are

The Alchemist Method™ is a cancer navigation education and support service founded by Michelle Grady. Our website is located at https://thealchemistmethod.co. We provide educational resources, navigation tools, and access to navigation sessions. We are not a medical provider, healthcare organization, or HIPAA-covered entity.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

Name and email address when you submit a form on this site — including the free guide opt-in, program waitlists, and the Navigation Intensive waitlist
Information you share when booking a session through the Stripe checkout process, including health context you choose to provide in any intake forms
Assessment responses submitted through our self-assessment tool — these are processed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers
Payment information submitted through Stripe — we do not see or store card numbers; Stripe processes all payments directly

How form submissions are stored:

This website uses Netlify Forms. When you submit a form on this site, your submission — including your name and email address — is stored by Netlify in their form submissions dashboard on our behalf. We access those submissions through the Netlify dashboard. Netlify's data practices govern how they store this data on their infrastructure. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.

Information collected automatically:

Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited — collected by Netlify, our hosting provider, as part of normal hosting operations
Referral source and UTM parameters if you arrive from an advertisement — these appear in server logs but are not stored in a separate analytics system

We do not currently use tracking cookies, retargeting pixels, or analytics scripts beyond what Netlify collects by default as part of its hosting service. If this changes, we will update this policy.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may process your information:

Netlify — Website hosting and form processing. Form submissions are stored by Netlify on our behalf. Netlify's Privacy Policy: netlify.com/privacy
Stripe — Payment processing for all purchases. Stripe processes payments directly and we do not store card numbers. Stripe's Privacy Policy: stripe.com/privacy
Google Fonts — Typography loaded from Google's servers, which may log the request. Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — We use Kit for email marketing. At this time, Kit is not directly connected to any form on this website. If you are added to an email list through Kit, it is through a separate process. Kit's Privacy Policy: kit.com/privacy

How we use information

To deliver the guides, resources, and services you requested
To send emails related to your signup, purchase, or waitlist — you can unsubscribe at any time
To process payments securely through Stripe
To understand where our visitors come from so we can improve our resources

We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising on external platforms without your consent.

Health information

You may choose to share health-related context — such as a cancer diagnosis, treatment status, or lab information — when booking a navigation session or using our resources. This information is used only to provide you with relevant navigation support. It is not stored in a medical records system and is not subject to HIPAA, as The Alchemist Method is not a covered healthcare entity. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Data retention

Form submissions — including name and email — are stored by Netlify in our form submissions dashboard until we delete them. We do not have a formal retention schedule at this time; contact us to request deletion. Purchase records are retained by Stripe per their policies. We do not maintain an independent customer database separate from Netlify form submissions and Stripe purchase records.

Your rights

You may request that we delete or correct information we hold about you by emailing hello@thealchemistmethod.co. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. If you are in the EU or California, additional rights may apply — contact us to discuss.

Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. We will note the effective date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
